HELEN NASILLSKI
Teacher/Owner
Helen Nasillski was trained at the Royal Academy of Dance in London and is an Associate Member of the Society of Teachers of Dancing. She completed her three year teacher training at the Stella Mann Academy of Dance (also in London) and received honours in Ballet, National and Modern Dance. She danced professionally in companies in Scotland, Portugal, Syria, South Korea and her native England.
Before coming to Los Angeles, Helen taught in England at dance academies in Hampstead, Croydon and Walton-on-Thames where she prepared numerous future dance professionals for their RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) exams.
Bringing her love of ballet and teaching to Los Angeles, Helen taught classes at Westside Academy and at the Stanley Holden Dance Center before establishing her own dance school – the Silver Lake Ballet School – which has become a much respected part of the Silver Lake/Los Feliz community. Every year, the Silver Lake Ballet School puts on a show involving over a hundred of the school’s students. Helen teaches ballet, pre-pointe, pointe and creative dance to students from the ages of 3 through adult.
