Intermediate ballet
PRE-BALLET – A creative and fun introduction to ballet using props and stories
KINDER – Introduction to basic positions and steps with a creative approach
LEVEL 1 (7 years plus) – Introduction to technique through simple exercises at the barre, in the center, and from the corner
LEVEL 2 – (8 years plus) – Building ballet technique and vocabulary with technique and combinations
LEVEL 3 – Longer and more complex combinations, introduction of pre-pointe work. Previous training necessary
LEVEL 4 – Intermediate level. Previous training necessary. Audition class required
LEVEL 5 – Advanced level. At least 3 years of previous training. Audition class required
PRE-POINTE/POINTE – Taken as a 2nd class in conjunction with a technique class. A strengthening class to prepare for pointe or to further pointe studies.
FLEXIBILITY AND CONDITIONING
Students are guided through stretches in proper alignment with strengthening exercises to increase core strength, turnout, spine mobility, and balance. Students will also learn classical floor barre exercises to support a lifelong ballet practice.
